Who is the big spoon?

This is a question that has been on my mind for quite a while now. When you snuggle up with your loved one at night, which one of you is the big spoon?

Most of you will automatically say the guy (or girl) snuggling at the back is the big spoon, because they are usually the bigger person in real life. I on the other hand, believe that the one in the front is the big spoon. Just hear me out on this, if you look at the picture it seems pretty clear to me that the legs of the people represent the scoop of the spoons and their bodies the handles. If this is the case then the bigger scoop therefore the bigger spoon would be on the bottom of the pile which would be the person getting cuddled.

Why does one have to be bigger? If you put 2 identical sized spoons together, they fit perfectly. I think the bigger spoon could be on the outside or the inside, it doesn’t matter

That’s a very Swedish way of tackling the question Mandi, and you do bring up a good point. The rabbit whole just got a bit deeper it would seem.
