I decided to give Vlogging, or “Video Blogging” a go. This is my first attempt during which I talk about why I want to try vlogging and introduce myself a little.

Movember Day 15

Well as you can see I choose a style for my Mo. It’s a little bit out there… who am I kidding is all the way out there.

I figured that in a month I wouldn’t have time to grow a mo long enough to curl up old school style, so instead I just shaved my beard into a huge curly mo! Personally I think it’s one of the greatest accomplishments of my life. Plus it was perfect timing for my new job. You should have seen their faces when I turned up for my first day. They just stared at me for a while then pretended to act like nothing was different. Then after about 30 minutes one of my new co-workers finally asked “So what’s up with the facial hair?” After I told her that I was just doing it for Movember they’ll all laughed and let out a big sigh of relief.

Funny thing is, not one of the parents or children asked me about or said anything.

Movember Day 6

I’m not sure on how long you are allowed to grow your beard base before deciding on a Mo Style and shaving it in. I checked the rules on the Movember site, but the only rules listed were as follows:

Rule #1 – Once registered, each Mo Bro must start November 1st with a clean shaven face.

Rule #2 – Then, for the entire month of Movember each Mo Bro must grow and groom a moustache according to these rules:

There is to be no joining the mo to the side burns, that’s a Beard!
There is to be no joining of the handlebars on the chin, that’s a Goatee!
A small complimentary growth under the bottom lip s allowed, aka the Tickler.

You could kind of say I have already broken the rules, as I guess I have a really lame beard at the moment. So, I have decided to shave in the mo over the weekend. Problem is I haven’t decided what mo I want to grow.

Right now I’m going with the classic Handlebars unless someone can suggest an awesome alternative. (Hint: That means leave a comment!)

Movember – Day 1

Movember - Day 1

Today is the first of November which of course is also Day 1 of Movember!

Movember is an annual, month-long celebration of the moustache, highlighting men’s health issues, specifically prostate cancer and depression in men. Basically it is a darn good reason to get silly and grow yourself a good old fashion porno style mo!

This will be the first year that I have actually partaken in the Movember festivities and to tell you the truth I’m quite excited. I’ve always been quite a hairy bastard, but moustaches have never been my specialty. It’s always a bit sparse on the old upper lip, so this will be a nice experiment to see if I can cowboy up and actually produce a mo worthy of a cop or dare I say it a fire fighter.
