T-Shirt Pillow Case
I washed my sheets the other day and of course it rained when I went to dry them. So I was left without a pillowcase. Then it struck me, a t-shirt is about the same size as a pillow case.
I used one of my latest Threadless tees titled Russian New Born. It worked a treat and makes the bed look wicked. In fact I would suggest trying it out yourself.

Changing the Ignition Switch
Ivy’s car has been a pain in the ass the last couple of weeks. The ignition switch has been slipping meaning that the car would turn itself off while we were driving it. Over the last week it got so bad that we needed to hold the key turned while driving. This of course is not the safest, so I took it to an auto electrician for a quote. $140 for a new ignition switch and an hour’s labor, so about $200 all up. I don’t think so.
Off to the car wreckers I went this morning, picked up an ignition switch for $50. Called Nick up for a helping hand and the two of us managed to install it in about 30 minutes. In fact we didn’t even replace the whole ignition, just the electronics at the back which means we can still use the original key.
I feel like such a man! Reminds me of back in the day when the boys and I would spent the weekends taking apart my first car, a diarrhea brown Datsun 120Y.

NZ Beats Custom Kicks
I have been wanting to try and design my own kicks for some time now and finally found the time to do it. These are my first attempt. Not to shabby, but my next ones will be better, I hope. For these shoes I used Seta Skrib fabric markers. They didn’t work as well as I had hoped, running out of paint and not giving the best coverage. For my next pair I have gotten some awesome Posca Uni paint markers.
How much did these bad boys cost to make you ask? Well the white shoes were $14 on sale at K-Mart and the Seta Skrib markers were $5 each on sale at Gordon Harris. Will probably buy a can of water proof spray to coat them with $6. That will be $40 for a custom pair of kicks, not to bad.
nice work Ki-tronic,but they'll never match the scope and pure genius of old school 1980s
kung fu slippers:they were the real deal…
[...] if I’ll do another canvas anytime soon, but will probably try customizing another pair of kicks next. $(document).ready(function() { // hides the postcommentbox as soon as the DOM is ready // [...]
