Talk about what I did on my birthday; graduation, visit to my old pre-school, great meals.
Birthday Boy
For those not in the know, Huddy is Sam and Hudson’s child. Sam is a very good friend on Ivy and mine. We went to high school together, we lived in Taiwan together and we traveled the world together. So of course, Huddy is very important to us also.
The party was a great success. We had wonderful weather and a fantastic barbecue. There were a bunch of kids running around playing games while the adults talked, drank and ate. I ate a little too much and ended up falling asleep in a window box for a couple of hours. But that was all good.
The best part of the day was giving Huddy my present. I made him a pretty kick ass little house out of two old fridge boxes, complete with window, door and welcome mat! I also wrote my card on a big piece of cardboard for him. It read:

Well Huddy you’re a big boy now, time to leave the nest! Here’s a nice little one bedroom place where you can stretch your wings. Happy Birthday Love Kivy.
He loved it and so did pretty much everyone else. Was totally worth the extra effort.

Turned out to be a good night. Talked for a couple of hours about life; past present and future.
27 Years Old
Well it’s happened again, another year has managed to sneak up and bite me on the ass. 27! Damn it. That’s late twenties, no longer can I group myself with the mid-twenty crowd. Oh how I envy those mid-twenty assholes. To make things worse I did something to my back at work, so I am even making old man moaning noises whenever I stand up or sit down. The back pain got so bad I actually had to take my birthday off work and spend it at the doctors and then at home in bed wacked out on painkillers. Not all bad then I guess.
