In Bruges
February 7th, 2009 Filed under: Movies, Reviews | Tags: action, comedy, Movies My brother, Shen, recently went for a weekend in Bruges, a small city in Belgium. After talking to him about his exploits he reminded me of the Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson film titled In Bruges. Colin and Brendan are hitmen in hiding, with Ralph Fiennes as their gangster boss. The film of course takes place within Bruges. The movie starts off quiet slow without much of anything happening for the first half. The comedic high light of the first half is when Colin tells a bunch of obese American tourists not to climb to the top of a famous tower because they are to fat to fit. (My brother assures me that the tower staircase gets very steep and narrow and doubts anyone of considerable girth would not be able to make it up.)
After a slow start the movie does pick up with a bunch of action scenes sprinkled with humor. The end result being a reasonably good flick worth a viewing.

[...] I would highly recommend it to any who gets the chance to catch a movie there. In fact go and see In Bruges there in a couple of weeks [...]
