Liquor
After my little rant about
crappy customer service, I’ve tried to give customers the best service I possibly can while working at the Bottle Store. Sometimes though customers just ask the stupidest questions.
Today a woman in her forties approached me and asked “So this Vodka stuff, is that like Gin?”. I told her that Vodka and Gin are similar in that both are produced from grains etc. The difference between the two is that Gin is flavoured with juniper berries. Damn good answer if you ask me. Then she asked “I always drink Gin, but it gives me a headache in the morning, will Vodka give me a headache?” Umm, what the hell am I meant to say to that. I suppressed the laughter and politely said that different liquor has different affects on people, but most people would experience hangovers or ‘headaches’ after a big night of drinking. To which she said “Oh, that’s no good, I think I’ll look somewhere else then.” and left the store.

Beer
It’s Sunday morning and I’m working at the Bottle Store. It’s slow, very slow. Everyone is saving themselves for New Years I guess. But just because it’s slow doesn’t mean there isn’t a bit of excitement.
My Bottlo is connected to a bar and it turns out either someone left a tap running or there is a leak in the system somewhere. The result is beer waist deep in the storage area under the bar. That might seem like a good time, but heads are rolling around here and nobody is looking forward to telling Snoop Dogg. Either way I’m glad I’m not going to be here Monday morning.
UPDATE Should have called this post Water Water Everywhere, as it turns out it is water that has flooded the bar storage area. That’s a big sign of relief for Snoop’s wallet. Might still cost him a bit though as the Fire Department has been called to help pump out all the water.
he he nice answers to an obviously "concerned" customer, please let us know if she finds the shop that sells booze that doesn't give you a hangover!
